šŸ–¤ Black History Month at Pride & Petals: Centering Black Queer & Trans Creators

At Pride & Petals, Black History Month isn’t about performative statements or temporary spotlights. It’s about using our space intentionally:Ā to uplift, support, and center Black queer and trans creators in ways that are tangible, respectful, and rooted in care.

This month, we’re opening our store to feature Black queer and trans artists, makers, and vendors, putting your work front and center where our community can see it, celebrate it, and support it.

Your products.
Your story.
Your brilliance.

Shared in a space that values people over profit.

🌈 An Invitation to Black Queer & Trans Creators

If you’re a Black queer or trans artist, maker, or small business owner, we want you to know: this invitation is for you.

We’re looking to feature a wide range of work, including (but not limited to):

  • Art, prints, zines, and illustration

  • Jewelry, apparel, accessories, and handmade goods

  • Candles, skincare, and body care

  • Books, stationery, and paper goods

  • Any creative work rooted in self-expression, identity, and care

If you create something meaningful and want to share it with a supportive, values-aligned community, we would love to hear from you.

šŸ’– No Commission!

This part matters deeply to us:

Pride & Petals does not take a commission on featured Black queer and trans creators during Black History Month.
Every single dollar from your sales goes directly to you.

Our role is not to profit from your labor.
Our role is to make room, amplify your work, and support you in a way that feels honest and fair.

We believe community care should be tangible, not symbolic.

🌱 Why We’re Doing This

Black queer and trans creators have always shaped culture, art, and community, often without recognition, safety, or equitable access to opportunity. This month (and beyond), we’re committed to doing our part by offering our physical retail space as a platform for visibility, connection, and income.

This is about building somethingĀ together.
